Switch
Switch is a Las Vegas data center company founded in 2000 by CEO Rob Roy, and funds affiliated with DigitalBridge and an affiliate of IFM Investors took it private in December 2022 in a deal valued at about $11 billion including debt. In April 2026 it announced a data center campus on the former Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Big Beaver Borough, Beaver County, and in July it filed preliminary plans for three buildings with room shown for two more. The land is held by Wampum I, LLC, which paid $50 million for the track in March 2026 and which Switch's filings now show as its subsidiary, and the borough council has until December 18, 2026 to decide on the plan.
Switch says the Beaver County campus will join its existing campuses in Las Vegas, Tahoe Reno, Atlanta, Grand Rapids and Austin.
