No Conshy Data Centers is a volunteer community group. We collect as little as we can, use it only for the reason we asked for it, and never sell or share it.

Last updated October 26, 2026.

The short version We use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate and without your name, how people use the site so we can make it better, and only with your consent. If you fill out one of our forms, we use what you send for the purpose stated on that form and nothing else. We never sell your information or share it with third parties. The tracker data we compile from public records is free to use under a Creative Commons license.

What you give us through our forms

You don't need to give us anything to read the site. When you do fill out a form, here's what it asks for and what we do with it:

  • Volunteer sign-up: your name, email, ZIP code and, if you choose, phone number, street address and a note. We use them to match you with a working group and contact you about volunteering. Your phone number is for hearing-day texts. Your street address stays private and is used only to show resident standing at hearings.
  • Data Center Update emails: your email address, used to send one update after each hearing and urgent notices. Reply to any email to unsubscribe.
  • Sunday community call: your email address, used to send you the Zoom link.
  • Corrections and additions on Follow the Money: your name, email, organization and what you tell us, used to check the record and reply to you. If we change a page because of a submission, we note the change on that page without publishing your name or email.

How we use it

Only for the purpose stated on the form you filled out. We never sell, rent or trade personal information, we never share it with third parties, and we don't use it for advertising. Form submissions are read by our volunteer team.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, how long they stay, what kind of device they use, their general area and how they found us. We look at this in aggregate to improve the site and how we explain the issue. It doesn't tell us who you are. Google says Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses.

We use CookieHub to ask for your consent. Google Analytics runs in Google's Consent Mode, so its analytics cookies are set only if you accept them, and CookieHub saves your choice in a cookie of its own. We don't use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time.

The services that run the site

A few outside services run parts of the site for us. They handle data only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy terms:

  • Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions.
  • Proton Mail is our email inbox.
  • Google provides Analytics, Tag Manager and the site's fonts.
  • CookieHub records your cookie choices.
  • CARTO and unpkg supply the map tiles and the mapping code on our map pages.

When your browser loads a page, these providers receive your IP address as part of sending you their files. Links to Facebook, Change.org, GoFundMe and news sites take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Donations are handled by GoFundMe, and we never see your payment details.

Data we compile from public sources

Our PA data center tracker and Follow the Money are built from public records such as township minutes, court filings, state and federal filings, company statements and news reports. They name companies, public officials, company executives, and the attorneys and solicitors involved, as those records name them. We don't name private residents or private landowners.

This data is shared freely under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). The credit line and terms are on our open data page. If something about you or your organization is wrong, use the corrections form on Follow the Money or email us.

How long we keep it, and your choices

We keep form submissions only as long as we need them for the campaign. You can ask us to show you what we have, correct it or delete it by emailing noconshydatacenters@proton.me, and we'll remove it from our inbox and our form records.

Children

The site is meant for adults in our community. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we'll delete it if we learn we have.

Changes and questions

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. Questions go to noconshydatacenters@proton.me.
