SunCap Property Group

SunCap Property Group is a privately held commercial real estate developer and investor based in Charlotte, North Carolina, that builds industrial, multifamily and build-to-suit projects across North America. A company affiliated with SunCap bought the 72-acre former Pressed Steel Car Company site on Nichol Avenue in Stowe Township, Allegheny County, in 2023, and SunCap asked township commissioners in 2025 to allow data centers in the industrial district, which they approved that December. SunCap executive vice president Matt Virgin told Public Source in July 2026 that no data center has ever been planned for the site and that the company is grading it for one to three industrial buildings.
