LS Power
LS Power is a New York-based, family and employee-owned company that develops, invests in and operates power plants and transmission lines, and it says it has developed or acquired more than 50,000 megawatts of generation since its founding in 1990. In March 2026 Constellation agreed to sell LS Power five Calpine gas plants in Delaware and Pennsylvania for $5.0 billion to meet federal merger terms, and Constellation's filings list the two York Energy Centers in Peach Bottom Township, York County, among the plants it has to sell. Energy Capital Partners announced a $5 billion data center at the York 2 plant in July 2025, but no application has been filed with the township, and the sources we read don't say what LS Power plans for that idea. Constellation expects the sale to close by the end of 2026.
LS Power says its fleet is about 10 gigawatts, it closed a $6 billion investment fund in October 2026, and the regional grid operator PJM approved its plan in October 2026 to add 455 megawatts at its Hunterstown gas plant in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
