Forest City Energy Center LLC
Forest City Energy Center LLC holds an option on Linde Corporation's 811-acre property east of Route 247 in Forest City to build a power plant, according to a February 2026 email from Linde executive vice president Christopher Langel that was included in Linde's development plans and reported by The River Reporter. The email lists the company's principal place of business as 800 Town and Country Boulevard, Suite 500, in Houston, which the paper found is a shared office space, and the paper couldn't find other business information for the company. DEP's tracker lists the Clinton Township, Wayne County, project as Linde Data Center / Forest City Energy Center LLC. Clinton Township supervisors rejected Linde's plans for 20 data center buildings and two gas power plants on September 9, 2026, and Linde has appealed.
