TriEnergy Inc.

TriEnergy Inc. is a Sewickley company that describes itself as a land acquisition and energy development firm, and it says it has spent about three decades securing land rights in the Appalachian Basin and now also finds land for solar, battery storage, fuel cell and data center projects. In May 2026 it applied to South Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, for a land use permit as developer of a 1 million-square-foot data center building on 178 acres of former farmland along Route 31 near the Interstate 70 interchange, under a three-year agreement with the landowner, Stanton Farm LLC, signed in October 2025. TribLive reported in October 2026 that the township hadn't reviewed the plan yet because a state sewage permit was still pending.
