Equinor
Equinor is a Norwegian energy company based in Stavanger and majority owned by the government of Norway, with about 25,000 employees and 2024 revenue of about $102.5 billion. In Pennsylvania it holds non-operated interests in Northern Marcellus natural gas wells, mostly in Bradford County, which it built up through two 2024 deals with EQT, and at the July 2025 Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit it pledged $1.6 billion to raise gas output and explore gas-fired power for data centers. In August 2026 it agreed to pay $940 million for 87.71 percent of the Class A shares in the 1,483 megawatt Lackawanna Energy Center gas plant, which Invenergy will keep running.
