Air Products & Chemicals Inc.
Air Products and Chemicals is an industrial gases company founded in 1940 and headquartered in Allentown, with about 21,300 employees as of September 2025, and its stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange. It applied to put three data center buildings totaling about 2.6 million square feet on its former 194-acre headquarters at 7300 Cetronia Road in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, without naming a developer or tenant. The township Zoning Hearing Board unanimously denied the request in May 2026, and Air Products confirmed in August that it wouldn't appeal and that it hadn't decided the property's future.
Air Products says it develops, builds, owns and operates some of the world's largest clean hydrogen projects.
