Vistra Corp.
Vistra Corp. is a Fortune 500 power generation and retail electricity company based in Irving, Texas, and it owns the two-unit Beaver Valley nuclear plant in Beaver County. In August 2025 a Vistra subsidiary paid $4.2 million, more than 10 times the assessed value, for a 74-acre farm in Hookstown about a mile from the plant's boundary, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Vistra hasn't said what the land is for, and no application has been filed for it.
In January 2026 Vistra signed 20-year deals to supply Meta with more than 2,600 megawatts from its Perry, Davis-Besse and Beaver Valley nuclear plants, including 433 megawatts of new output from planned upgrades, the company says.
